Sim Racing Bass Shaker Setup – Add Real Immersion to Your Rig

If you’re looking to take your sim racing experience to the next level, a bass shaker setup is one of the most effective upgrades you can make. With the right configuration, you can feel everything from wheel slip to gear changes—bringing a whole new level of realism to your rig.

Current Setup

My system is built around a combination of transducers and bass shakers to deliver detailed, layered feedback throughout the rig:

• Front Left & Right: TT25-8 transducers

• Seat: 2x TT25 transducers

• Under Seat: 1x BST-1 bass shaker

How It Feels

Each component serves a specific purpose to simulate different driving sensations:

• TT25 Transducers: Used for precise feedback like wheel slip and ABS vibrations

• BST-1 Bass Shaker: Handles heavier effects such as gear shifts and overall road texture

This separation allows for a more dynamic and realistic feel while driving.

Amplifier & Hardware Setup

The system is powered by three Nobsound 50W x2 amplifiers, all connected through a USB-powered hub to the PC:

• Amp 1: Controls front left/right transducers

• Amp 2: Controls the two seat transducers

• Amp 3: Controls the BST-1 under the seat

All amps are mounted directly to the rig, with easy access to volume knobs for quick adjustments on the fly.

Software Control

All effects are managed through SimHub, which allows for fine-tuning each feedback channel to match your preferences and the specific sim you’re running.

Recommendation

If you’re running a profile rig, adding a bass shaker system is absolutely worth it. The added feedback dramatically improves immersion and gives you a much better connection to what the car is doing.

Update

I’ve since upgraded the front setup by replacing the TT25-8 transducers with two BST-1 bass shakers. This change provides stronger, more pronounced feedback and further enhances the overall experience.
